Boys are tender too

Again

Another star

Fell from the sky.

At the college hostel.

A body empty of god/

Something swinging/ rope

Fastening it to the ceiling/

Unwinding the soul from

The Body/ another form

Of separation. Dissection.

Maybe separation is another

Way of escape in a land where

Being a boy equally spells e x i t.

Which means, to be a boy is suicide.

Which means, to be a boy is identical

To cutting your chest to grieve another

Comrade who fell by the riffle of a cop.

Which means, being a boy is moving

Your feet to the call of depression.

Which means, being a boy wants

The touch of your fingers on

Gbana/igbo/hemp/pills

*Gbana/igbo/hemp/pills/- drugs taken by some youths.
